Extreme SRi 3000M
The requirements for Multi-tenant or Multi-dwelling units (MxU) are space is limited and cost must be controlled. Using existing wiring the SRi 3000M provides low per port cost in a compact 1RU high chassis that is easily rack or wall mounted saving valuable space. Eliminating the need for facility rewiring saves tremendous cost and time. The SRi 3000M combines the functionality of several networking components including DSLAM type functionality, a high-speed switch and an edge router creating a device that is well suited to deliver services in a multi-tenant building. The SRi 3000M can be deployed in a cost effective stacking configuration much like a single switch or hub, allowing service providers to better manage their capital investments and add capacity as service requirements increase. With flexible uplink options the operator can choose quad T1/E1, T3/E3 or Gigabit Ethernet. Router capability offers Internet access with the latest technology. Local Ethernet access allows for local services such as video on demand. The NT 300M network terminal is small and offers standalone or wall mount capability. There is Ethernet access via an RJ45 connector for connection to the local computer equipment an RG11 for 10BaseS and an RJ11 for the POTS connection. Indicators show activity on the 10BaseS side and there are indicators showing Ethernet “Good Link” and Ethernet activity. There is no setup required for this box making it easy to install and maintain.
